Automatic parameter mapping (blue hand) broken in Max 8

Anyone else experienced a loss of the "blue hand" parameter automapping to control surfaces for max devices when upgrading to max 8?
If so is there a fix for this?

I've already double checked that the controls have 'automated and stored' enabled.

Are you talking about a specific controller?

I don';t think the version of Max is particularly relevant, but there's a live.banks object that you'll need to use for Live 10 mapping...

Ah, thanks, completely missed that one.
I was using live Live 9 when I upgraded to max 8 which completely threw me off as none of my devices mapped the way they used to (I was using 'order' before).
