Can I organize Max Devices?

I'm wanting to completely re organize my m4l library into my own categories, like synth, drums, distortions, modulators, midi devices etc...

I can't figure out how to create folders and move items around in the max browser.

is this possible or are we just stuck with one giant list of everything in the main folders.

also, how do I delete a max device if I decide I don't want it?

Thanks.

Just save it as a preset. It will go to your user library and you can organize there to your heart's content

I think that's a bit misleading.

It's not possible to add folders to the Max department of the library browser. The max section of the live browser is one flat list and nothing can change that. It's bad design.

It is possible to add folders which will show up in the lower "places" and most people simply use that section, as the upper section is terrible.

That's what I meant. Nothing in the Categories section of the browser is organisable. All the organisation functionality is in the places section.

Thanks, I created a series of sub folder in places and then drag and dropped all my m4l devices in there, everything is organized nicely now, but they should really allow folders directly in the m4l folder.
