Mono Sequencer Device - Extreme Memory Usage ?

Post by evanamerongen » Fri May 10, 2019 3:51 pm

Whenever I map an LFO or automated parameter to the 'pattern knob' in the Mono Sequencer device my memory percentage jumps from 1-2% to 300-400%, basically stopping all audio. Is this a known bug ?

I'm having the same problem simply trying to automate the pattern knob: with both clip envelopes and using a midi CC on my midi controller.
when I use the mouse cursor to select patterns there is no problem, I can change patterns as fast as I like without any memory jumps.
I haven't yet had a look inside to see if I can change the mapping routing. I will let you know if I'm succesful

EDIT: I discovered that you can select patterns using MIDI note input, but this also creates memory spikes and audio dropouts...

Best thing you can do is contact support@ableton.com and see what they recommend.
