CV Tools Roland sync don't work.

Post by Noktai » Tue Jul 16, 2019 11:27 am

Hi, does anyone got this working with old din sync Roland Gear?

My Audio Interface is not the problem because with the Expert sleepers Silent Way - Sync plug works and send a Roland din sync signal.
(But i got it in demo mode and only works a short time)

Thanks !

CV Tools use cv signal (audio) not din.

Yes that is correct, CV Tools use DC Voltage to generate a Clock via your Audio Interface.
That is exactly what Expert Sleepers done 10 Years ago with the "Expert sleepers Silent Way - Sync plugin"
Looks like you forget to include a "DIN sync generator" into CV Tools? Clock + Start/Stop
Can you please include it into the next update? Should be super easy.

Der SYNC-Standard verwendet einen fünfpoligen DIN-Steckverbinder nach DIN-45322. Die Belegung ist:
Pin 1 = Start/Stop (Stop = 0 Volt, Start = +5 Volt)
Pin 3 = Clock (Rechtecksignal 0/+5 Volt, symmetrische Pulsweite[1], die positive Flanke bestimmt den Clock-Zeitpunkt)

And now all you need is Cable from your Audio Interface to your Vintage Roland Gear.
