M4L Device For Non-Linear Rhythmic Patterns?

Post by 57R34K » Mon Aug 12, 2019 1:30 pm

I use ableton live for playing keys on stage.

I want to press a note on my midi keyboard once and have a non-linear rhythmic pattern play to a specific bpm and if i press another note, then the pattern should transpose itself to the new note.

Do we have a max for live device to do this? I've been looking around, but haven't found one yet. See video below for a better explanation

EDIT:

The Max for Live Essentials pack has an ARP plugin that can do this; however, I find it very difficult for the sound to play on time with the metronome. It syncs to the metronomes bpm, it just doesn't sync with the actual click....
