I'm using sxformat in a max device to send Sysex messages successfully. I'm finding that when this device is ahead of a rack with 16 external instrument chains, the sysex message gets sent out of every chain even if only 1 chain is selected!
What makes this a real problem is that each chain addresses 1 of 16 midi channels of the same port, so the sound module recieves the sysex message 16 times! This flood is causing problems for the sound module.
Is there a way to filter sysex from particular chains?
