HI guys,

I'm quite new to Max for Live so please bear with me....

I'm just trying to work out if there's a way to make m4l into a "wrapper" for an effect/VST, to basically, carry out some audio processing before and after another effect in the chain.

It's only super simple stuff I'm hoping to do (gain adjustment) but I'm not sure how I'd even start to go about this if it's even possible!

you can make this with 2 Devies. One in front of the Vst and one behind the Vst. Then you can send the informations you need with
"send" "forward" and "receive" objects between the 2 devices.

Or you can use the max "VST~" object, but then you have to take care of saving/storing the Vst Parameters.
