Can Max be used to create customs shortcuts which launch custom actions, and create custom interface features? For example, I'm wondering if it would be possible to recreate something functionally equivalent to VirtualDJs script 'cue' command.
This custom action would be creating a locator in live (cue point in VDJ) on the fly, which would place a shortcut called 'bridge' at the playback point if one button is pressed, or 'chorus' if a different button is pressed. Then pressing another button would launch from that locator (avoiding two button presses with regular shortcuts in live - currently one press to recall the locator, another to begin playback).
Of course, recreating this functionality would require being able to set something functionally equivalent to locators in each track, not just for the arrangement as a whole, so I'd like to know if that is possible with Max too.
