How would you record and send (large) sysex streams ?

I'm thinking of storing some synths patchs within the liveset and recall them as the liveset is loaded. (Main use would be for my Nord Modular G2, which has the bad habit to corrupt patches).
What approach would you use to store the data ?
I'm thinking of using a [dict], as [coll] content has no way to be saved with the liveset. Is it the right way to go ?
