Modulate a parameter of the device by a parameter of a device from another track (UX research)

Post by Aleksandr_Sudin » Mon Mar 08, 2021 4:30 pm

Hi all, I have an idea of M4L device,
Modulate a parameter of the device by a parameter of a device from another track, though not sure if it is realisable yet.

Examples:
1. Modulate dry/wet knob of a reverb by a cutoff knob of operator from another track in live (just for example, anything by anything from another track)
2. Use presence of midi as a gate signal. E.g. when midi plays, click a button of another M4L device, like "Pitch drop".

Would you enjoy doing things like this?

There's many different ways to achieve this, and there's probably what you need on maxforlive.com
You can also easily tweak e.g the built-in Envelope Follower or integrate it into another device etc...

Thanks for ideas. I've found out that it is called — Mulitmap device. It is in "Max for Live Essentials".
