max for life CV Tools with a dc coupled interface

Post by Gwoka » Wed Apr 07, 2021 5:03 pm

Hello there,
has anyone tried to use a Apollo X6 with it's DC coupled outputs to control some modular gear ? I've tried every single output from my interface but I just can't get it to work.
I am actually using CV tools (Max for life) on a track which is getting some midi and I want to use it to control a percussion module.

If there someone who knows how It woks that would be great :)

Cheers !

Are you using the CV Triggers tool? How exactly are you configuring it?

EDIT: I just gave it a go to make sure it works in L11 (I never use it due to latency).
- Set up CV Triggers tool in the track that contains the midi (or through which you are playing your controller).
- Connect the selected interface output to the Trig input on your module.
- Set up either an audio track or a midi track with an External Instrument device receiving the audio from the corresponding interface input.
This worked for me on both a DFAM and vpme.de QD.

What kind of cables are you using?

I use the Expert Sleepers 1/4" TRS to 1/8" TS cables made especially for using with DC-coupled audio interfaces.
