Saving/Programming Presets in a M4L Patch

Post by branlsnyder » Fri Apr 09, 2021 8:56 am

How can I program my M4L device so that my session saves the settings I had dialed in, when i open it back up?
For example, in this patch, I click message boxes/integer boxes which start a series of line objects. I could have these values LOADBANG what I want to be saved. But this isn't practical because it forces me to go in and edit the patch itself.
Perhaps there are ways to easily write and save presets to a u-menu?

Replace "regular" Max objects by their live equivalent, like [live.numbox] instead of [number].
They can be (and are by default) "parameter enabled" meaning you can save and automate them.
Alternatively, check out [pattr] and [pattrstorage] and their M4L tab in the help files.

Thanks! I integrated the live-equivalent objects, and am now familiarizing myself with pattr for the presets and the rest. I think this will be a good solution. thanks!
