Hardware Synth controller question

Post by gross9978 » Tue May 25, 2021 11:52 pm

I’ve made a m4l controller for a hardware synth (novation peak) and everything works fine sending ccs, I’m using ctlin objects so that the dials on the device stay in sync with the hardware as well if I’m starting from an init patch. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to make the dials update values when a program is changed on the synth either automatically or maybe a fetch values button on the max device? They update if I wiggle the knob on the synth but I was wondering if there’s a better way to do it. I’m fairly new to making m4l devices and have been trying to find info but haven’t really found anything so far, I may just be looking with the wrong terminology. Thanks for any help:)

I don't think it's possible unfortunately.
Some synths can respond to a patch request, but I don't think Peak has this functionality. Send a request to Novation ?
