Anyone used this? Looks super helpful. And this should be standard in Ableton not something we have to purchase.

Wht looks useful to you? That it's a floating window?

That it has full transport controls with lots of features. And that they are midi assignable. Which means you can easily assign the controls to your midi controller. This is the way it SHOULD be automatically.

I had a quick look, but it seems that every options in this device already exist in Live as midi mappable items.

No.... There is no way to midi map rewind, fast forward, step back step forward because those controls do not exist in ableton. There is no physical button. That is why this max4live device is quite nice.

It'll also pollute the Undo History if they're midi mappable buttons in MaxforLive, so careful what you wish for...

What are you talking about?

It will basically screw up the undo function.

How exactly? If you create a template and have this on a midi channel as the first thing you do? It will not mess up undo...

Any button you press will add to the undo history, simple as that.
