MIDI CC limitation to channel 1 ?

Hello everyone, i'm trying to create virtual synths to control my hardware synths.
I've been using "ctlin" to receive CC from synths, and "ctlout" to transmit to synth.

All is good, except that when i use "ctlin in ableton, everything comes from channel 1, and i spent a great deal of time trying to figure out where was the problem in my setup.


I tried to launch Max Msp without ableton, and magically, with "ctlin" I can monitor CC from each hardware synth, arriving on each attributed MIDI CHANNEL (per synth); But doing exactly the same thing in ableton, it all comes from midi channel 1.


You can see the problem : basically i can't do my devices, because even if i attribute different channels in the hardware, ableton seem to not care and make them all come from channel 1.


Am i missing something ?

Check imp.midi externals.

Thank you very much Chapelier fou, i've bene able to fix my problem, works flawlessly.

i also had a problem with the port name of the Prophet REV2, which contains "spaces", so i made a virtual machine in mac midi with a different port (as you can't rename them), i'm putting a screenshot of this also.
