M4L Device for changing song timing signature

Post by Udo Behm » Fri Sep 23, 2022 7:50 pm

Good day everybody,

is anybode able creating a Max for Live device that changes the timing signature of a Live project when a Clip is launched?

I know I can change the timing signature (4/4, 3/4,...) by entering this information into scenes. Since scenes do not get imported though when importing a project into another I want to do this with the help of clips and a Max for Live Device. Is anybody able creating such a device that simply changes the timing signature of the project when launching the clip (e. g. when I enter '3/4' or '6/8' into the clip)?

Would be handy if I could combine this device with the already existing device for changing the project BPM with the help of clips and their names (see https://maxforlive.com/library/device/5 ... 1-0-4-demo)... Maybe the device could figure out when a clip is named like "128 BPM 3/4" or only "3/4" or "4/4"... This way I could use both devices for only one track...

Thank you!
