Nice...that's some serious fine-tuning on the low end that you can't achieve with just a sample. A few questions:

- When tuning the kick to the key of the song, which would yield better results - using the root or the fifth? Or would either work, depending on the tune?

- Is there a chart somewhere that shows the specific Hz value of various notes? (i.e. 49 Hz = G). This is essential to tuning the kick, but I couldn't find anything on Google.

I would almost always root for the root. (ha ha)

If you have Live 7, you can find out what frequencies correspond with what pitches by hovering your mouse over an instance the Spectrum tool.

Very Nice!
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

This is a really simple guide! Infact too simple go google it and you will find some decent stuff with ranges of instruments and the likes. I am at work so cannot post the ones I have up here as they are at home.

This is a bit more like it ... q_info.pdf
