how do i set my rob papen synths to start blank?

Post by Thomas » Sun Feb 01, 2009 2:57 pm

i'd like my albino and predator to start with a "blank patch", meaning that i want them to start with all the default settings and stuff.
When i open them now they start with the first preset and i cant find one that says blank or default or something like that

its obvious i'm missing something

thanks in advance

Well, you obviously got the point which is hindering - as in every DAW I have heard of, always the first preset of a VST instrument - if there is any - gets loaded. No matter what you do.
What you CAN do is create a song with all your desired synths in there in the state you want new. Name the tracks they're inserted in accordingly. Save it where you can see it in the browser in the left. Now start the new set you're about to play with and drag your desired track from the other song you just prepared into your new song. The preset should have been preserved then.
But what's the use in that

Or just backup the first preset if you want it, and then overwrite it with a blank state.

Seems there are people who sometimes think more practical than I do :D .
Is it really working, groovy?

You could have said "Uh, erm, sometimes..." to let me keep a little of my face. Good to know, anyway  ...

LoL, actually it might only work sometimes - the plugin has to have an internal preset save function to overwrite, so there, you're saved.
