glitch on scene launch

Post by monsieur escargot » Sat Feb 14, 2009 4:47 am

I get very annoying and inconsistent glitches when i launch scenes (when i actually PRESS the controller).
I shared it with Pitch Black who had the same trouble and found that projects containing more than 110 scenes were glitching on launch.
I've halved my set and still get that problem.
Any idea around the rest of the world? thanks

I didn't get glitches in live sets with many scenes yet (140 scenes but only audio clips and only 3 tracks), but I noticed a severe slowdown of Live.

Seems to have the same origin, did you gat any official response to that topic? Can't run out of memory, can it?

I have almost 150 scenes in my set, but have no slow down or glitches.

However 90% of mine are midi clips...

It's unlikely the number of scenes are causing the slow down, instead the lack of memory caused by the number of clips in those scenes.

Although live does disc streaming, it still has to load the first section of each clip into ram so that it can access them instantly.
MBP 2.4 & a shit load of Faderfoxes!

Anyone using clip RAM mode for that reason? Is it better? My ram is 4gigs and I run around 30% CPU playing live.
cheers for the posts guys
