PURELY DJing - Tips, Tricks, Tutorials

Hi All,

I wanted to start a thread which will be used purely to all us Ableton DJ fanatics out there, either if you use it to make a mix, play live, being a noob, or an veteran.
I hope this would eventually become a sticky for all of us as a point of reference, as I believe the only way to progress is to share your knowledge.

I will update this as much as possible with my own reference (as this is just a start off point) on the original post to keep everything neat and tidy, so please PM your links and input to me, and I will post them up on week by week basis.
Also if anyone had any other ideas for sections on this post, then let me know, and I will get them up and sorted for you all.

Big love to all, and share that wealth!!

i think aldj.com is a wicked place to read up on. Abletonlive DJ is the name of the site. I think Tarekith has a hand in running the place, he might be able to point towards the killer threads for beginners on there.

Bit concerned that after nearly 700 Views....no one has really contributed!

Is no one up for sharing knowledge?? Bit sad if so.......but Im sure there are some of you out there who will be willing to give small nuggets of information??

Lazy Records is the biggest acapella, instrumental, MIDI file & Sample site on the net

http://lazyrecords.co.uk/forum

We also provide music production tutorials covering all aspects of the music business & software packages

http://lazyrecords.co.uk/articles/

We've just launched AbletonWarps.com to provide DJs with pre-warped asd files for live ... all mp3s come from the blogs (who have permission to post them from the record labels) so AbletonWarps.com is 100% legal.

http://abletonwarps.com/forum

Oh & the original reason I was gonna post in here -->

Why you should always warp with WAVs (auto-generated by live from your imported mp3s) & not warp the mp3s

Use your Ableton Warp Files on ANY system
