I just got a VCM-600 and I'm having trouble setting up the effect racks.
There are 8 knobs and 8 buttons for FX controlling:
The factory setup is this:
a) if you select an EFFECT the 8 knobs control 8 parameters, and the buttons switch to the next set of parameters: 2nd knob is for the next 8 parameters and so on..
b) if you select a RACK, the 8 knobs control the 8 macros, the buttons have no function.
The buttons and knobs always apply to the selected effect or rack (indicated by a blue hand)
First question: how can I set this up myself, and/or change what parameter is controlled by which knob for a certain effect?
I want to set it up so the upper four buttons select an effect rack in the appropriate channel (SELECT DEVICE) - button1 selects the rack in CH1, etc.. With 4 different effects in the rack, each effect should be switchable (on/off) by the lower row of buttons.
Second question: How can I set it up, so the lower 4 buttons control the 4 effects ON/OFF buttons in the selected rack?
The problem is if I assign a button to an effect, it stays locked to that and even if I switch to another rack.
There must be a way because the factory preset is made this way that the knobs are independent from the racks or effects, they always control the one selected.
