Any tips on backing up?

Post by Theo Void » Mon Jul 20, 2009 7:36 am

can anyone tell me their preferred method of backing up all their work on Ableton.?
I use a Macbook and so all(most) of my samples are referencing ITUNES.
How can I back up the whole setup?

I select, File->Collect All and Save, saving the project with a different name or in a different location. That way all external samples are collected to the same location, then I can delete the original project file and folders.

So doing that Ableton no longer references Itunes for the sample, the sample is saved w/ the project?

That's right. You can double check the project file and you will see that all samples are saved in the project inside the "Samples" folder.
