How to increase a VST window's size?

I assume it's not possible, but I would like confirmation.

On Mac Os X 10.5.7
But would like to know for windows as well.

there are some VSTs that are able to be resized and those work for me in live.

the majority have a fixed size, though, and cannot be resized.
