How do I put fave Audio Unit plugins in a single folder?

Post by Torley » Sat Sep 19, 2009 5:03 am

I've been organizing my faves in Ableton Live. Is there a way to sort Audio Unit plugins (not individual settings) in a single folder? I notice by default, they're organized alphabetically by manufacturer name — with each manufacturer having a folder — but I'd like to make a new top-level folder which contains a few plugins, or divide them further from there, like bread & butter effects I use on just about every project in a single folder.

Things are getting cluttered as I accumulate more plugins. Collapsing/expanding folders feels repetitive in the midst of flow; I can use search, but having something more quick-access like how I sort Firefox bookmarks would be awesome.

Any recommendations for how I could do this? I tried some drag 'n' drop within the UI but it's not letting me.

Thanks in advance!

rack em up and put the racks in a folder.

That's what I suspected might have to be a workaround. Thanks am!
