Key command for nudge?

Post by jayemell » Tue Apr 06, 2010 7:23 pm

I am looking for a way to nudge an audio or midi clip in the arrange view.
Is there such a feature?

I have looked around a bit on the forum to no avail... I basically want to do the exact same thing as you can with notes in the piano roll editor, once you have them selected.

IIRC, you just select the notes and hit left-arrow or right-arrow.

Might I have some sort of preference disabled?

Thanks,
jml

i would think this would be possible, as there are many HW controllers of Live and one would assume nudging audio in the arrange window would be a priority for mouse-free control.

what are other people's experience with this?

i know that you can do the following with keys:

click in the timeline
hold shift, and left/right arrow to select a clip on a given track
cut
left/right arrow to new location
paste

seems usable, but not quite what i would want.
i suppose it makes sense to not have anything else since you can't have overlapping clips.
