I am looking for a way to improve my live guitar sound in ableton live.
Due to stability and performance reasons I do not want to use any external plugins or amp simulators but the built in effects to improve the sound. -> make it a bit warmer, wider, more striking, kind of .. nothing special just a nice clean sound for my telecaster custom deluxe '70
i know this heavily depends on the personal taste but still I'd like to hear what kind of effects you like to chain up on your direct guitar input. Any recommendations?
Recommended effects for direct guitar input
Re: Recommended effects for direct guitar input
I imagine the onboard EQ, compressor, overdrive and delay would be enough to make your tone a little nicer than direct-in'ing it.
Also, (and this is sort of a different way of doing it from what you're probably looking for), using pedals before the actual signal goes into Ableton would be a possibility, too - zero performance hit, and it's pretty hard to crash a stompbox (not impossible, however ).
