Is there a hot key command for crop clip?

Hi,

When im in arrange view and I right click on a clip (midi or audio) I can select 'Crop Clip(s)', is there a keyboard shortcut o do this rather than pointing and clicking?

Any help much appreciated.

I have it mapped to a button on my nanoKontrol. I use QuicKeys 4. It supports MIDI mapping any menu item on any application, as well as keyboard shortcuts.

OMG, how can ableton not implement this shortcut. This really pisses me off! Does anybody know if there is an option for PC?

might be convoluted... but I've gotten into a habit of doing this all the time.

Example: say you want to crop first 4 bars out of a 16 bar clip. Make sure the arrangement marker in on the track you want to crop from.

1. Using arrow keys, move the arrangement marker to the beginning of a clip

2. Hold shift & move arrow key to the right to select the number of bars you want to crop

3. Hit Command/Ctrl + J

I'm using the same method on my Akai MPK25 Key. If you have any piece of hardware which supports MIDI mapping I'd go for it and use a knob/button of your choice for that function. Alternatively it might also work via common key mapping if you use a default keyboard only.
