Looking for Trip-Hop/Hip-Hop drums and percussions

Post by Psy-Kai-Q » Wed Aug 25, 2010 12:54 am

Hi

I'm looking for drums and percussions, like in this clips.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Chy-7HYdwBY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFz8JoK-5xE
http://www.vbox7.com/play:60526fcf (slow connection)
Have maybe Ableton similiar sounds?
If yes, which?

Thanks ahead.

Which drums are you using for this music?

I'd look into getting some older breaks, chopping them and maybe adding some compression and EQ if necessary. That's the best way I've found to get that sound.

Otherwise you could try using some of Live's Overdrive or Saturator along with a Vinyl on some acoustic drum samples.
