Most people on here (at least the real live performance types) seem to compose specifically with live performance in mind, but I imagine there a lot of people that have the recorded music already and would relish the opportunity to break it down and play with it live.
This is something at the forefront of my mind at the moment, as I am busy preparing our material, which was never engineered to be performed live, for a live show, and I have absolutely no intention of hitting play and then "looking busy" for an hour.
If people are interested (and this hasn't been gone over and over already) I'd be happy to write up some findings and tips when we've got to a suitable stage. In the meantime though (and to help me out), who out there's done it and has some suggestions?

That helped loads actually! Tom Cosm's technique is actually pretty close to what I was doing, but it's the little refinements that turned what I was doing into something properly workable. Great stuff, thanks for that.
