Tip: More control over simpler's amp envelope

You can get more control out of the basic ADSR envelopes in simpler by using two of them. Basically copy your sample to another simpler, and use different envelopes on each. An example of how you could use this is to make kicks with a weak low end have a bit more bass.

Put a kick in a drum rack and duplicate it to the next cell. Set it up so that they both play at the same time. Go to the second kick and put the attack all the way up, gradually lower it until you hear the low frequencies go up in volume (the point is to boost the lows without affecting the attack). Tweak the volume of the second kick a bit to adjust the amount of bass.

It's sort of like a poor man's transient designer :) .
