Hey yall. I just posted a tutorial about how I use Mid Side EQing in my mixes. Using this has really improved the quality of my mixes, so hopefully it is useful to yall as well.

i liked it, too. the actual result in the video wasn't to my likings (too harsh somehow imho), but it showed the approach, and sure gave new ideas. i already put it to use of my likings in my stuff, so thanks.

Re: Mid Side EQ Tutorial
How does Mid Side EQ affect elements already processed with the Haas technique? I typically go in and process each drum (and sometimes other elements) seperately with this technique to widen the overall sound. Will Mid Side EQ blur these efforts or enhance them? I'm thinking that as long as the side EQ is boosted at harmonics of the inverse of the delay I'm using (i.e. at multiples of 500Hz for a 2ms delay, etc.) then these two techniques should compliment eachother. Of course, I tend to use different delay times for different elements so it could proven difficult to tune the EQ to all of my elements. Any thoughts?
