cheers for the good feedback on this one, everyone.
just in case you weren't aware, you can drop any sample onto the sample tab and adjust the midi clip's pitchbend data (the diagonal line) to scan through the audio, in both directions.
also, the lfos control the amount of grain spray, so those can be adjusted too. just alter the amount boxes.

great rack. sure this could be done with simpler tho?
i need to edit, it probably could be done but you wouldnt be able to get such a slow play back time.
i'm pretty sure this technique is a similar way to how i used to get granular playbacks out of reason. from what i can see, the arps actually act as the grains. this is cool when you use a sampler with lots of voices and loads of release on the amp evn, you can get some really scary reverb sounds without actually using any reverb, cool.

the way i've done it can't be done in simpler, as there's no way to modulate the sample offset.
with simpler, there's the old technique of using a very short loop and scanning through it that way, but it's not smooth; you get the old timestretch buzzing effect. the point of this rack was to be able to create buzz-artifact-free stretching over long periods of time.

indeed. works a treat. reminds me of granulab on the pc yonks back.
being able to assign the loop start and length to mod and pitch wheels make for great gestural granular mayhem.
