Tried Search.. but without joy.

Anyone have even a partial list of the Instant Mapping CC's that ableton uses in the "Natively Supported Control Surfaces".

just trying to get my Trigger Finger to control the Sends of whatever track is selected.
I would use my Remote25.. but it cannot send on Midi Channel 0... which is what is needed.

Instant Mapping is great.. but why the manual has no list of what CC's control what ableton parameters is..poor form.

Here is my list so far:

CC # - with midi Channel 0

# 7 = Master Volume

# 91 = Device Pot #1
#93 = Device Pot #2
#71 = Device Pot #3
#72 = Device Pot #4

#10 = Device Pot#5
#12 = Device Pot#6
#5 = Device Pot#7
#84 = Device Pot #8

You can control the selected track with common MIDI-messages, that you can even define yourself. Have a look at the documentation, for what's available.

P.S.: You do not need a Mac to use the MIDI Remote Script with your controller.

There are no default mappings or live as far as I know. For example the makie control script uses pitch pend messages for the volume faders, remote sl uses midi CCs, the button "faders" on the launchpad's mixer page use note messages. Every one of the supported controller has its own python script and for those that don't you can make a basic version using the the "user remote scripts" and whatever midi message you enter in there is what ableton will react to.

As to midi channel 0 if your controller doesn't have that use channel 1. It depends on how the software/firmware counts, some devices count with channels 0-15, others 1-16 in which case sending on channel 1 will be received as channel 0.

There is a lesson for each control surface. Controllers that can't receive a sysex dump are usually on preset 1 or if the manual of the controller talks about an Ableton preset, its usually that one.

As for your Trigger Finger, you have found all the mapped controls.

*sigh*... I wish there were default settings. I have the Korg NanoKontrol... and its a pain that you can't use the same controls on different channels depending on which channel is active

I know Stray, from nativeKONTROL.com, posted a full pdf of all the mappings on all the devices in Live on their forum. If no one posts it I search the forum later.... But I believe I posted that link on this forum in the past.

I was incorrect, It's not the cc#'s... It was a map to all of the devices in Live based on the cc#'s posted above. Sorry, probably wont help you, but here's the mapping link anyway...

I have checked out what CCs is used on Akai APC40 mk2. Maybe it helps to smb.

...can the APC 40 mk2 also be used as a generic midi controller? And if so, is it possible to have presets or banks or whatever to access all 128 CCs with the knobs and faders? I'm thinking about getting one, but unfortunately, Akai's documentation doesn't mention anything about that (at least I haven't found anything). Thanks!
