Audio recording producing one channel only

Post by liam18 » Mon Dec 12, 2011 9:35 am

My set up:
-PC, Windows Vista
-M-AUDIO MOBILE PRE USB Audio interface
-Live8 latest version
-Asio Drivers

It's probably something quite obvious, but when I record vocals with the mic, or guitar with the line in on my M-Audio preamp, I'm getting just one channel of audio. Can anyone suggest why that might be?

Many thanks in advance.

Audio from/Ext in/1 OR 2, but not 1/2

You are making stereo (mis)takes.
MacBook Pro 13" Retina i7 2.8 GHz OS 10.13, L10.0.1, M4L.
MacStudio M1Max 32Go OS 12.3.1

Here's the thing, though, do you need 2 channels? If there's one channel going in, then there's no reason to take up twice the amount for the direct/dry recording itself.
