I hate to be a dullard here, but can someone give me directions to enable the "map to siblings" functionality?

I found the Preferences.cfg file, and opened it in TextEdit. But I can't seem to find the "map to siblings" entry,,,,,

Nevermind I got it working ! The key was to CREATE A NEW FILE, called Options.txt. I was trying to edit the existing files in that folder.

Pretty sweet, much respect 8)

So... Does anyone know or has anyone found any more of these to be of interest to us mortal Live users?

FYI:

I tested NoVstStartupScan. Adding -NoVstStartupScan=1 to options.txt does just what you'd expect: Live skips the VST scan. Can save about 1/2 second on Live start up. Not a life changer, but could be useful in a few situations...

like when a bad vst crashes the startup on scan ;)

I actually found a bunch of features that I'm not sure I should post. They are definitely for Live 9 and aren't working fully yet.

I don't get it : I have the 'copy value to siblings' at the top of the menu, but not the 'map to siblings' option...

Probably since I'm the one that went in there and dug these out in the first place. I love Live and I don't want to hurt the company by releasing "work in progress" stuff that is probably gonna be in Live 9. I actually started looking for these options as a way to fix problems I was having with Live crashing and took it a bit further.

What surprises me is that some of the features are found in the Mac OS build, like -ForceGDI... why? That is a Windows thing isn't it?

Also if know for some reason which options are Windows Only and Mac Only please post and I will update the original list.

dunno what you found in there - i didnt see much more than you already posted.
i did see one more that can be useful though:

-AutoAdjustMacroMappingRange=1

does what it says, really.

there was also -ClipFireWillContinueSong=1
but not sure what that does

may i ask, where are you referencing all these commands from? I mean where are you finding them?
ctrl + left/right = select transient

ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients

ctrl + space = play selection

I don't think that the:

-EnableMapToSiblings
-AutoAdjustMacroMappingRange

Need =1 after them to work. They work fine in my Options.txt file without the "=1"
AutoAdjustMarcoMappingRange is insanely helpful!

So I just tried the following option u guys are mentioning-- -AutoAdjustMacroMappingRange=1

I tested mapping macros for a few vst's. The numbers it's picking seem totally arbitrary. Am I missing something?
