I found the Preferences.cfg file, and opened it in TextEdit. But I can't seem to find the "map to siblings" entry,,,,,
re-read the 2nd post in this topic closely.
I've followed the directions and tried both options.txt and options.rtf and made sure to save it in the path: Users(my name)->Library->Preferences->Ableton->Live 8.3 which has the Preferences.cfg file and still no option to "Copy or Map to Siblings"...
I'm running Mac OSX 10.6.8 & Ableton Live 8.3

Please help!

thanks for this, mauricio!

i've just been going through these, testing some out, seeing some interesting things, but not much really of use to the end user (apart from the known ones).
was about to close the window when i saw something: EnableMapToSiblings

well sheeeit! the function a lot of people have been waiting for is there already, hidden.
just tried it. it works!

put -EnableMapToSiblings=1 in your Options.txt, save, and restart Live.
now you can right-click a knob of a device inside a rack to map it to a macro, then right-click it again to see this:

you can then map all the device's chain siblings to that macro.
this has been asked for since the beta of Live 8 3 years ago 8O 8O 8O
why hasnt this been added as an official sweetener? were they going to add it only in Live 9?

[conspiracy]and now it's been discovered, will they take it away from 8?[/conspiracy] :?

This is amazing!
Thank you!!!

P.S.: I realized that the hyphen has to be the short one (-) for this to work, not the long one (–).

I did a video on this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYmS0d7-BRM

P.S.: Don't make the type of the file "text encoded" like I do on the video as that might cause some unwanted characters in the beginning of the line after saving – go for simple "text" instead.

-ShowDeviceSlots

then look right below the i/o button on the right to enable the devices slot. slight bug when dragging new plugins into the window you need to resize the mixer column for the proper name to show up.

nice find, cool feature! would be a great addition to the final feature set with a bit more development: slots get actual device names, midi-mapping for bluehand, auto-resize of slot area when more devices are added, right-click 'show modulation' etc..

just wondering what strings search are you using to pull these out? I started at the offset for absolutemousemode but they all arent sequential in memory
