Re: Launchpad expanded session mode
Wow interesting.
Many of the features that I've genuinely wanted haha
..but how????
It kind of appears to use the Automap mode gesture to open a software which is not Automap.
And this software looks like it lets most of the LP kind of 'show through' as its original features but the functions of this other program/script, overlay on top of the original functions.
I think the delete clip function alone is something that almost anyone would want handy

Re: Launchpad expanded session mode
I wrote a small program which deceives the ableton. Ableton considers that 2 LP are connected to it. I switch modes of these virtual LP and display them on one hardware LP.
No automap or max for live. Only virtual midi cable and my program.

Edit: on both my LP and my APC hah

Re: Launchpad expanded session mode
I connect 2 virtual LP devices to ableton. One to Midi Yoke 1in 2out and second to Midi Yoke 3in and 4out.
My program coneccted to LP midi ports and to Midi Yoke 1-4.
All the rest - processing and a filtration of midi events.

Re: Launchpad expanded session mode
For delete clip function i send:
1. API BringWindowToTop to ableton application
2. API keybd_event TAB 2 times (to activate clip window)
3. Midi event - press clip
4. API keybd_event DEL

Windows version and source code:
https://hotfile.com/dl/179302553/e0aadc5/LP.rar.html
1. you should install midi yoke
2. you should create 2 launchpad devices in Ableton:
- in Midi Yoke 1 / out Midi Yoke 2
- in Midi Yoke 3 / out Midi Yoke 4
3. When you pressing metronome line buttons, program send notes to Midi Yoke 5
4. To highlight metronome you should send notes to Midi Yoke 6

Re: Launchpad expanded session mode
i guess this can be done in mac os using midi emulator software or device with the same results?

Re: Launchpad expanded session mode
Sorry for bringing up an old thread but does anyone happen to have this? The links are dead and the added functionality seems to be exactly what I need
