Using drum machine and Impulse

Post by Sebastian » Thu Apr 07, 2005 3:31 am

howdy

I have roland drum machine with 16 pads

Is there any way to create an Impulse kits with 16 different sounds/patches assigned to each of the 16 drum machine pads. For the moment, I am able to use 8 of the drum pads and have figured out how to assign each pad to different sound so in that part im ok

pls advise

thanks

Havent tried this but give it a go..

1) create second midi track with a "pitch" midi plugin and impulse
2) assign the notes on your midi pads 9-16 to be exactly one octave above the actual notes that impulse needs to be played
3) set the midi pitch plugin to transpose stuff exactly one octave lower
4) activate midi input on both midi channels
5) get drunk/high/whatever
6) slam your pads to make noise

Repeatability

Hey fellas,

On a semi-related topic has anyone figured out how to configure the pads in the Impulse to "repeat" similiar to the MPC 2000, 3000, etc?
