group bus return tracks without input latency

Post by elwood88 » Wed Oct 24, 2012 8:44 am

hey folks...

I like to group bus my return tracks for basic equalisation and limiting... If you dont want to bus your return tracks together stop reading now cause it will be a waste of time for you.

so what i tryed first was to send the audio from the return tracks to a specific audio channel.
To get some audio signal you need to switch the monitoring of this track to in and this causes some noticeable latency. sounds like some overdone predelay on reverbs or it starts phasing heavily when you listen to an uneffected audio signal..

what works out ways better is to change the audio out of the return tracks to sends only.
then create a single return track and enable this new aux send on all the return tracks you want to bus together.
open the send 100% and you are done..

hopedfully somebody finds something in there thats usefull for him.. for me it was ...

cheers
