SIMPLEST way to delete a clip with your feet?

Hi,

I trolled through all the posts and am still confused. How, on a Mac, can I assign a midi message to delete a clip? Is it possible WITHOUT an app like ControlAid or MidiPipe?

Can someone explain it to me in laymans terms?

Even better, would be to delete current scene.
I have a preset that can scroll down to the next scene, which is blank, but I'd prefer to just delete the scene I'm on.
