Hi everyone,

Not been into music production for too long and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to make the bassline similar to the track below, its from a track I'm sure most people have heard. I have searched high and low on the internet for some sort of help with this but found nothing hence why I am here now hoping someone can help me out.

Erick Morrillo - Live Your Life (dirty freek remix)

Many thanks :)

When you say "make the bassline" what are you after - the sound or the melody?

I just had a listen around. Dirty Freek uses that sound A LOT!

I've heard it on other things too, but dunno what's making it.

Maybe try getting in touch with one of the guys from Point Blank (they do online tutorials).

They often do videos where they recreate the sound of certain tracks in Live.

Okay I'm confused...

The beginning has a sub bass which is just a basic sine wave.

Then the drop has a large kick which is probably has the low frequency raised higher or layer or both.

Then there is what seems to be a basic rising saw wave bass line is like a basic running which is ever half note after the kick.
