Hey all,

I'm using an expression pedal to control volume for different channels in live, the problem I'm having is that when the expression is at the full, toe-down position (CC to 127) the volume jumps past zero causing my tracks to clip - is there any way to make the max "zero" or do I just need to start making my clips quieter?

When you're in midi map mode, on the left side of the screen you can set the min/max range.

Hope that helps.

Edit: if you don't like that idea, another thing people do instead is throwing the Utility effect on the channel set to -6 db.

Perfect! I knew there had to be a way - I even looked around over there and didn't see anything, I had the divider (between the left and center sections) too far over to the left.

With this add and midi pipe, the Midi Mate has become a great live controller for Ableton for me. I just use midi pipe to convert program changes to note values and I'm off and running.
