Switching MIDI instruments

Post by hMasters » Wed Feb 20, 2013 5:49 pm

Hello everyone! I believe this is my first post here but I'm not sure. I'm not sure if this is hard or if I'm just stupid. Anyways, I've been screwing around, sampling tracks with my DGX500, MPD18, and Ableton Live 8. I wanted to know if there is any way to switching from one track to the other without creating a new track. I usually run a sound from the same key or pad (E3 is a popular one.) Thank you in advance!

Not sure what you mean, but I think creating or grouping to a rack would do this. You can switch by midi velocity, note number, or a slider that selects the chain.
