Hi,
just wondered how do you make all midi notes in a clip the same length? E.g i have a load of midi notes all of different length, but instead of resizing each one, is there a shortcut to select all (apple-A) then drag/resize so they all snap to the same length?
Thanks

i don't know all of the new clip editing features in 9 but one way to do this would be to use the midi note length plugin and record the output into a new midi clip.

When you're editing notes, the need to make many notes equal length occurs a lot.
(not ALL the notes, just the selected ones).
Cubase does it by typing in the desired length.
Logic does it with ALT + resize selected notes.
Sonar does it.
FL studio does it.
Reason does it with its "=" button.
Acid did it.
It's just something that comes up a lot.
Live does not do it.

On PC
Ctrl + A to select all the notes, or select a note, and shift + click to add other notes to your selection, or click and drag a box around notes to select them.
Then...
Shift + Arrow Left to shorten note lengths
Shift + Arrow Right to extend note lengths
I usually take all the notes down to the shortest length first, then extend them longer to the length I need them at.

Brilliant!! Works on Mac too.

It does if you follow the last sentence in the explanation.
