loaded wav file sounds like it has tremolo effect onplayback

Post by z2thet » Sun Mar 24, 2013 9:58 pm

any suggestions? I have live 7.0.18. windows xp. I am a dinosaur with little arms.

The recording is a live performance so it is long with different tempo parts.

Do I have to specify the bit rate, sample size, audio sample rate? It seems the whole track has the problem.
Thanks.

Is Warp turned on for the sample?

Try turning it off manually in the Clip View, or you can disable "Auto-warp long samples" in Live's Preferences > Record/Warp/Launch.

Look out for incoming asteroids. I highly recommend evolving into birds.

If Warp is switched off for the sample, it should play back exactly the same as in any other audio app.
You're sure the WAV sounds fine when played back in another app? You're sure Warp is switched off for the sample? No plugins on the channel? On the master?

It really should be playing back fine - I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest. :( Anyone?

Does other content play well in Live? Could be related to a glitchy sound card/audio interface...
