AkaMed´s looping system (uses ClyphX)

Post by akamed » Tue Oct 15, 2013 11:26 pm

Hi,

I´ve developed a code for controlling live as a multilooper and multibank. I wrote it in Python and it is a code for ClyphX. It is great for working Live with a floorboard and perform audio looping. It works with Ableton Live, Bome´s MIDI translator (BMT) and ClyphX together.
I use a Roland FC-300 for controlling the loopers, 2 Boss FS-6 for switchching through 4 banks, and 1 Boss FS-6 for the master looper and switching through fx. All the MIDI messages sent by the buttons are received by BMT to perform different actions when mapped in Live(i.e. RECORD/UNDO/STOP with a single pedal).
There´s an Ableton Live looper plugin included on a track also, I call it "master looper". It is there for if I want to set the tempo of the first recorded loop.
I´m using it and I think it´s a great tool for composing and jamming.
I hope you like it :)
Cheers

Hi again,

I´ve added subtitles to one of my videos, to explain what I´m doing while watching the video, for a better understanding of the system, so I reccomend you to activate the subtitles when watching if you are interested.
