DJ Effects and knobs

Post by samsung2 » Sat Jan 24, 2015 2:22 pm

Hi there

One question regarding Live 9 and "Djing" - I created some effects and got them into the audio rack. The makro knobs are linked via midi to an Akai Lpd 8 and everything works fine. But...If I use the same audio rack with the same configuration in another track, obviously that will create some trouble.

Example: I play track one and turn the flanger knob to the middle, switch to the second track, the effect remains on track one, what is good, but the knob is still in the middle of the midi controller. At the moment I touch that knob while being on track two, I got some flanger too.

I hope you guys understand my problem...

Yes you need to search for User Configuration Remote Script...

I searched harder, found what I think you mean, but it wouldn't work. Not even sure if this is the solution.

If I use, let's say, knob 1 to increase the volume on track one. I increase the volume to 5, this knob stays on 5. Now, if I switch to track two, knob 1 has no effect there, as a matter of fact, it's still on 0. But when I move knob 1...it automatically changes from 1 to 5 at once...cause it was there before (from track one)..

lol - you might have guessed that I'm not native english speaker, perhaps your solution is the right one, but even so, I can't figure out how to bring this thing to work the way I want it. :|

Go to Preferences --> MIDI - > Takeover mode. Set it to pickup.

Does that sort your problem?
