Hi Everyone:
I'm super-new to Live. I am using it to conduct some science experiments about acoustics: I am playing audio into Live and then transforming it with a series of convolution effects one effect at at time in a specific sequence.
I have the seven effects together in the effect chain and keyed to my keyboard, so that I can select one at a time quickly, but I am wondering if there's a way to do this more quickly and more intuitively with an external dial type device that can move through the effect chain? Does something like this exist and any tips on setting it up?
Thanks!

Re: external knob/dial to move through effects chain
You could put all of them in a rack, each effect in a different chain. Then map the chain selector of the rack to one of the dials of the 8 rotaries of the rack. Then map the dial to a knob on a midi controller. Little bonus though probably irrelevant: inactive chains are treated as "off" by Live, so they don't use CPU.
