I suppose what I'm asking for is a sort of translation of the effects and synths from caustic to ableton.
I'm unsure as to which software synths and effects I should use to convert my tracks to Ableton.
Caustic 3 came with these effects and synths.
Some of them are pretty obvious while others are not.
Effects (Caustic Left, Ableton Right.)
Distortion = Overdrive/Frequency Shifter
Bitcrusher = Redux/Saturator (?)
Compressor = Simple Compressor
Flanger = Flanger
Parametric Equalizer = EQ Three/EQ Eight
Limiter = Limiter
Delay = Simple Delay
Reverb = Reverb
Multi-Filter = ?
Synths (Caustic Left, Ableton Right.)
Sub-Synth = ?
PCM-Synth = Sampler/Simpler
Beat Box = Drum Rack
Bass-Line = ?
Pad Synth = ?
Organ = ?
FMSynth = ?
KSSynth = ?
SawSynth = ?
Y'all got any ideas?
Transitioning from Caustic to Ableton, Tips/Explanations?
Re: Transitioning from Caustic to Ableton, Tips/Explanations?
Don’t expect a direct translation. Just use your knowledge and experience to make loose correlations like you’ve already done and then try loading devices individually in Live and play with them while reading their descriptions in the device reference in the Ableton Live manual (easy to search online).
For some of the ones that seem like they are available in Caustic but not Live, you can start with trying some vsts.
