This is specifically for windows users. I'm sure this can be accomplished with MAC but that is up to you MAC users to figure out.

When you save an Instrument presets, grooves, clips or what ever in your user library wouldn't it be great if all the computers you work with Ableton on Synced your saves? This is how you can do that.

1 - Install Google Backup and sync on all systems you use Ableton on. Be sure to have a google drive account.

2 - open Google drive in a browser - create a file called "Ableton Sync" By right clicking on "My drive". In this folder create another folder for "Presets" and "Clips","Groves" what ever you use. Your google drive cloud will now have these folders in it, and this folder will sync with all computers.

3 - Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=15155 click download SyncToy and download the proper install for you computer. Install SyncToy on All computers.

4 - On All computers locate your google drive folder(open backup and sync then click on "open google drive folder" to locate), For your Ableton "User Library" folder(open "preferences" in Ableton then click "library").

5 - On All computers open SyncToy. Create new folder pair> Left folder - Browse to the "Presets" folder in the Ableton "User library" folder. Right folder - browse to presets folder in the "google drive folder> hit next> Select Synchronize> hit next> Name the Pair "Ableton Presets"> Finish. Create pair for "clips" and "grooves" or any folder You use if you so chose.

6 - in the Help section on Sync toy there is a section called learn how to Schedule Sync toy.
Read.

7 - How to set up the Task in "Task Scheduler"

A - General Tab>Run Weather user is logged on or not>Run With Highest Privileges>Ok

B - Triggers Tab>create 3 Triggers.

1 - New>Begin the task:"On A Schedule">Daily>Recur every:"1 day">repeat task every:"1 hour">stop task if runs longer than:"2 minutes">Enabled>Ok
2 - New>Begin the task:"On workstation lock">Any user>Stop task if it runs longer than:"2 minutes>enabled>ok
3 - New>Begin the task:"At log on">Any user>ok

C - Action Tab>NeW>Program/script:(with quotes)"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.1\SyncToyCmd.exe"
>Add Arguments:"-R"

D - Conditions Tab>Power:Start the task only if the computer is on AC power,Stop if the computer switches to battery power>ok

E - Settings Tab>Allow Task to be run on demand>If the running task does not end when requested, force it to stop>bottom scroll box:"Stop the existing instance">Ok

You will now automatically Sync any Clips or presets you save in Ableton to any other computers you have set this up for.

I will update once I figure out how to set this up for Collections.
